Faith-Based Foster & Adoption Support in Boone, NC

Rooted in Boone and serving Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Jefferson, West Jefferson, Lenoir, and Wilkesboro, Foster Connection is a nonprofit that comes alongside families and the agencies that serve them. Our team listens first, then responds with coordinated care—meals, clothing, cribs, car seats prayer, encouragement, and training—because steady, practical support helps kids thrive and helps families last.

Our Story: From One Dinner to a County-Wide Network

In December 2022, a small group of women from our church gathered for dinner with a simple question: How can our church love vulnerable children and the families who care for them? That question launched a movement. In February 2024, we’d met with DSS to serve as a liaison and to supply starter items, meals, and ongoing care for families. In April 2024, we hosted a pastors’ luncheon to cast vision and invite partnership. Since then, churches and local businesses across the High Country have joined in, multiplying care to more families each month.
